Information We Collect

1) Content you create/open on your device

• Your text/Markdown files, imported images, exported files, and related content are stored locally on your device by default.
• The App does not proactively upload your document content to our servers.

2) App settings & state (local)

• Preferences such as theme, language, window state, and recent session data may be stored locally in the App’s data directory to provide core functionality.

3) Network access (may occur)

The App may make network requests for:

• Update checks (non–Mac App Store builds may access GitHub Releases)
• Optional analytics

Whether analytics is enabled depends on the build configuration and/or in-app settings / environment variables. When enabled, analytics typically collects anonymous or pseudonymous usage events (e.g., page views, feature clicks, error information) and may include device/system information and network information (e.g., IP address, which may be logged by third-party services on their servers).

Third-party analytics services that may be used include:

• Google Analytics (GA)
• Baidu Tongji

Different regions/builds may enable different services.

How We Use Information

• To provide and improve features (e.g., saving preferences, restoring sessions).
• To improve stability and quality (e.g., understanding crashes/errors and feature usage via anonymous analytics, if enabled).

Sharing of Information

• We do not sell your personal information.
• If analytics is enabled, some data is sent to and processed by the third-party analytics services listed above. Please refer to the App Store privacy labels and the third parties’ privacy policies for details.

Data Retention

• Local settings and session data remain on your device until you uninstall the App or delete them manually.
• Analytics data retention is governed by the relevant third-party service settings and policies.

Your Choices & Controls

• You can restrict network access at the system level, and/or disable analytics where the App provides such options.
• You can uninstall the App to remove locally stored App data (your documents are stored wherever you saved them and are controlled by your OS and file locations).

Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
